Human Performance Centrifuge Study Completed

A two-week study for NASA Ames/University of Kentucky entitled, "Artificial Gravity Exposure Effects on Cardiovascularly Deconditioned Women's and Men's Orthostatic Tolerance Limit," was completed at Ames with Principal Investigator Dr. Joyce Evans. A total of 9 men and 7 women completed the full research protocol over the two-week period of testing. The study utilized the Ames Human Performance Centrifuge and staff from the PI team, as well as from Ames; medical monitoring and operations teams were accompanied by visiting co-investigators and JSC staff from the Human Health Countermeasures Element of HRP who support the study.
